Oslo Freedom Forum in Taiwan
The Oslo Freedom Forum (OFF) is a global conference series produced by the Human Rights Foundation (HRF) that brings together the world’s most engaging human rights advocates, journalists, artists, tech entrepreneurs, and world leaders to share their stories and brainstorm ways to expand freedom and unleash human potential across the globe. Since the creation of OFF in 2009, HRF has expanded the conference series with one-day regional events in Asia, North America, Africa, and Latin America to accompany the European summit we hold annually in May. In 2018, HRF held the first OFF in Taipei, Taiwan.
As the first and only OFF in Asia, OFF in Taiwan stands as a unique platform and powerful symbol of Taiwan’s resilient democracy, which has stood firm despite the constant threat of democratic backsliding and rising authoritarianism in the region. The event has offered our strong community in the Asia-Pacific region with a space to connect with and learn from some of the world’s most courageous dissidents as well as brainstorm ways to expand freedom globally.
Help us ensure the longevity of OFF in Taiwan and increase its impact for years to come by donating to OFF in Taiwan.
